What to do about shoulder pain?

I’ve been working out steadily 3 times a week for a little over a year now. Mostly free weights. I’ve developed a pain in the back of my shoulders along with some popping sounds.. Hurts most during bench press or when I pull my arms back. I’ve been taking it easy lately trying to get it to go away, even took a few weeks off. Keeps coming back after a week or so. Just wondering what I could do, I really hate taking breaks, I feel like I lose so much work.

What i would do is go to a doctor or a chiropratcer… you could have a torn muscle… I really don’t think that you’ve disslocated it so tat kills that idea… but all i can think of is a torn muscle, which could take a while to heal… stop working your sholders for at lest a month, i know you don’t like to take breaks…. but i’ll put it to you this way, take a month out and heal that shoulder or completly screw that shoulder up and not be able to use it for your intier life… Don’t worry bout losing so much work, it’ll be worth it in the end… but go to the doctor, he/she might order xrays just to be on the safe side, but don’t worry yourself…Also you would probably want to put ice on it… not electric heat… a warm bath or shower might help, a couple streachs would also work… well i think i’ve said all that i want to say so i hope this helps… Hope you get better soon…
