All week I have been experiencing back pain and I want to know based on your experience what is the best way to overcome extreme back pain and soreness?
Caused from toting a heavy pocketbook daily to and from work.

First lighten the pocketbook – your body is telling you that you have to change your habits. Deep tissue massage will help (you’ll probably need more than one to break up the knot and stop the muscle spasms).
Well, since I don’t know what caused the pain, I have to be a bit cautious of giving recommendations on alleviating the "extreme" pain. Did you fall on your shoulder? Did you exercise and overdo it, or did that particular muscle group exercise cold, or maybe work out in the yard and pull a muscle? My immediate reaction to your question, besides wondering how the pain got their in the first place is to recommend some gentle massaging and rotating of the arm slowly, both forward and backward. As I say that, however, I resume my worrisome nature about how this pain came about in the first place. If I knew that, maybe I’d feel a bit easier about recommending "treatment". God Bless you.
Massage with a warming oil.If you have no one to do that.Alternate a heating pad for 10 minuets with an ice pack for 10 minuets for an hour .Repeat as necessary.
