what is the best otc pain medication for shoulder pain?

I injured my left shoulder lifting a 5gal water bottle, any suggestions for pain relief ?

i’d ice it, and take some tylenol, advil, etc. if it doesn’t get better, then call the doctor.
ibuprofen is great as you would have some inflammation there.
Paracetamol can be used at the same time-
ibuprofen every 8 hours and paracetamol every 4 hours, safe to take together.
can not take ibuprofen if you are asthmatic, have history of stomach ulcers or bleeding disorder, ir already on an anti-infammatory drug as your regular meds. see a pharmacist if you are confused.
gentle mobilization if the shoulder, dont keep it in one position for a long time.
see GP if no better in a week, a and e sooner if you experience loss of sensation, pins and needles, extensive bruising etc.
Lloyds Non Scented Embrocation Cream if its muscular
Paracetamol every four hours.
Keep it warm
If the pain persists after a few days see the doctor because you could have pulled a ligament.
