What does it mean when you have a piercing pain under your left shoulder blade?
I had lifted weights maybe 3 hours prior and then I went to sleep. I was startled when I realized I could take deep breathes because I would have a horrible pain that went through right underneath my shoulder blade and went through all the way underneath my left breast. I was having trouble sleeping and I could only withstand it sleeping on my left side. It only hurts when I make certain movement with my arm and when I move. It hurts more when I inhale sloutching rather then sitting straight but the pain is still bad. What can the cause of this be?

It’s always best to have a doctor check you over with a pain like this. The most likely reason is that your weight lifting has caused a problem with the little joints that join the ribs to the spine.
Sometimes a nipped nerve in the neck can also cause this kind of pain.
Rarely it’s due to a problem in one of the lungs – so if the pain continues then please go get a check over
