if you don't really care about the cause of it and it's muscular and not too severe i'd say slap some ibruprofen gel on it.

if you think it's from sitting and you sit at work then you should be entitled to an assement of your work area so that they can correct any problems - even how far you reach for the phone! or talk to occupational health. if it's not work related then maybe just man-up and see the doctor

You need massages on those regions. Please be careful as the neck is extremely delicate...and in the wrong hands...it could be fatal

Try putting a heating pad on your back & shoulders. If you don't have a heating pad take a hot bath or soak a towel or wash cloth in hot water and place it on the areas that are hurting.

Try taking some extra strength Tylenol or advil.
For the headache that new headon stuff really works.

But the only way that the pain is going to get better is if you allow yourself to rest.

Good Luck.

& if the pain continues to get worse go see your doctor.

Hi!! it is more likely to be a sleeping problem. For now i suggest a gentle massage with an embrocation like white oil, on a regular basis, until it`s better.
It is important for you to check the relation to shoulder from mattress to pillow highth because that is the most frequent cause of this affliction.
I hope that this will help you.
