What could be causing the pain in the upper part of my left arm/shoulder?

I occasionally feel a slight discomforting pain in around the areas of my upper left arm, elbow, and shoulder when it’s cold outside. It feels more like in the muscle or bones. When the weather is decent or warm, my entire left arm feels fine.

It can be a little arthritus or it can be the pc mouse if your shoulders are not level where you sit.
I get it from sleeping on my stomach and it goes away if I sleep on my back.
you don’t mention your age or relative health, so your answer will be non-specific.
contact your family doctor. you will need an x-ray of the areas affected to rule out any injuries (either bone or soft tissue). if you can’t relate the pain, etc to a specific injury in the past, it is possible that you have a type of arthritis or other inflammatory process of the joints. regardless, your MD can prescribe medication to reduce pain/inflammation. your MD may also send you for therapy. if you are cleared from anything serious, visit a chiropractor or masseuse.
if you work out with heavy weights at the gym,you may have hurt your self with a wrong technique or maybe during the day you did something to strain your arm
it could be arthritis, birchritis, or fibermoalgia. you need it checked out by a dr. it could be something else.
It may be RSI, probably not. it is probably artheritis. During cold weather the joints tend to ache more. Go to a doctor and get a prescription to help, of it is artheritis.
i am 100% sure cause i have the same thing it’s arthritis you can develope it in a joint just by twisting your arm
Muscles can have knots (trigger points) that make them tight which in turn put pressure on nerves and other things causing pain.
Molasses – a couple of swigs or Bananas 1 or 2 – both contain magnesium and potassium for muscles.
Try working with the principles taught in The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
I use a chiropractor and massage therapist with it
