What brand of bicycle sits you upright to reduce back and shoulder pain?

I saw an infomercial a while ago about a revolutionary new bicycle that allows the rider to sit almost completely upright thus greatly reducing back and shoulder pain when riding. Only now that I’m ready to buy a bike, I can’t remember that kind of bike. Anyone know?

i have to agree with the Electra crowd go to your local bike shop and tell them your looking for a cruiser I’m sure they will point you in the right direction good luck
Giant makes lots of cool recumbent bikes
check them out
croch rackit
Electra
Right on!!!
Electra – Townie is the way to go..
You have to stretch you back and your shoulder
Hybrids are good.
the Electa’s are cool, but that design was brought out first by Vision cycles a year or two earlier.
You could try a recumbent – a Sun EZ-1 or EZ-Sport are good, entry-level models. Lean back and enjoy!
There are lots of traditional, diamond-frame bikes that can be set up to position the rider more upright (we did this for my wife on a Schwinn hybrid for a while due to back pain, now she rides a recumbent – BikeE).
