Treatment for calcific tendonitis of shoulder?
Has anyone had successful treatment for this condition? My options at the moment are cortisone (sp?) injections into the tendon or surgery. My chiroprator has advised me though that these options are both extreme and I should try other things first. I have had acupuncture in the past and it did give me back a lot of movement but the pain has not decreased at all, if anything it is getting worse over time and now radiates down my arm. I am hoping to hear from someone that has recovered from this.

Hi
Try physio and deep tissue massage as well. Good Luck, I know how painful this is for you having had something similar. My only option was surgery but I refused that and preserved with 4 years of various degrees of physio, acupuncture and massage and I’m so glad I did, it did wonders for me. I do find more so recently over the past few years that my right shoulder, neck areas etc aches a bit more but I’m sure if I started on the massage again it would relieve it somewhat.
