Two things are really wrong here. First you didn’t need the surgery, the complete mess up of it now is proof of that. Second, all you have to do is release the tendons and you will be in great shape. All that was needed in the first place.
Lets start by your head. Place the opposite hand on the shoulder that is hurting, fingers over the top and thumb in front. Press them together putting the pressure on the muscle there and hold tight. Relax your body, take a deep breath and exhale, and don’t tense up any part of your body. Wait thirty seconds and very slowly tilt your head away from your hand. When you can’t lean your head any farther, release the pressure and hold you head in that position for one minute.
Now go to your arm pit. Raise your arm so you can place your other thumb up into the pit area and press it against the bone on top, trying to trap the fine tendons that run in there between your thumb and the bone. When you find one press it against the bone and hold it. Relax, wait 30 seconds, and then very slowly lift your arm up to a full extension. Release the pressure and hold for one minute. Dig back in there for another tendon, going inside the ball and outside the ball and socket area to find them. I don’t have all of them listed yet, so I can only tell you to look and what you might find is one that is tight when you move your arm. Get that one for sure.
Then if you still need more, go to your elbow. This is another hard one, but again once you are looking in the right place it might pop right out and tell you this is the one. Rest your arm so that your bicep is relaxed. Take your other thumb and dig into the middle of the elbow bend and try to find the tendons back there. Again trap them between your finger/thumb and bone. Then relax, and after 30 seconds slowly finish bending your elbow in all the way. When there, release and hold position for one minute.
Just in case here’s one more. With your palm upward, take your other hand and place the thumb about one inch behind the wrist and press down hard and hold. Relax. Wait 30 seconds and slowly start to open your fingers all the way and also bend your wrist all the way open. When there, release and hold for one minute.
I use the analogy of a turtle’s head to understand the tendons. They can go in and out, but sometimes they get locked one spot, especially after trauma to that point, and they need some help in getting released. Once released they should work fine or at least it’s easy to do them again. I haven’t had that problem. If any questions write.
