I suffer from both and the bursitis usually flares up without any warning signs. I used to take muscle relaxers only at night before going to bed, but I didn't like the way I felt in the mornings( I'd still be groggy for hours) even after a hot shower. So i went to a pain management specialist; especially since I have fibromyalgia; and the offered several options! I hope this of some value to you. I hope you feel better soon!
