I had my gallbladder removed today and am having a throbbing pain in my right shoulder for some reason. Any ideas why? Is this normal?? Thanks.

this might be referred pain. the galllbladder is under the liver by the diaphragm. when the diaphragm is irritated, it can give you referred pain into your shoulder.
the pain should start getting better, not worse. if it’s getting worse it might be due to internal bleeding or some other problem, and it’s important to let your surgeon know about it.
yes, you will have quite a bit of pain.
tell the Dr or nurse you need some pain killers.
