Shoulder pain?

For the past 2 weeks or so, if I hold up my arm too high, I get a sharp pain in my shoulder. Actually, it’s around the area where my arm and shoulder meet. But the thing is, it’s not always hurting. Some days it does, and some days I forget about it. What do you think this is and what could it be caused by?

Based on your description, I’d say shoulder bursitis or rotator cuff tendinitis.

It is best if you have it check out by your doctor. A physical therapist may also be of help.

you might have a case of mild arthritis on your shoulder. You should get checked with your doctor or if he can refer you to a specialist.
Sounds an awful lot like rotator cuff tendinitis, maybe even a small tear in the rotator cuff tendon. I would recommend that you go see an orthopedic doctor to have the shoulder examined and then go see a physical therapist.
