Shoulder Blade Pain?
During the summer I got into a pretty bad accident that caused my right shoulder blade to wig-out. I would get really bad cramps in it and eventually went to a chiropractor. After several weeks of treatment, my shoulder blade felt great and I was good to go on the last day of treatment (which ended early October). On Thanksgiving, I had my boyfriend crack my back (using the method our Chiropractor told him), and it felt great! Later on in the day I got a light sharp pain in my back, but it was light enough to ignore. Then I got a deeper one that brought me to the ground! I laid down, put some biofreeze on it, and tried to take a nap. Ever since – sitting in an odd position or laying in a wierd position or even breathing in too hard (causing my back to hunch) sends a really sharp pain down and around the area of my shoulder blade. Any doctors or nurses that can tell me what happened?!

I’m not a doctor or a nurse, but I have had that pain and to the point of not being able to wear heavy tops.
See an Orthopedic Surgeon. There are a lot of ligaments and tendon plus the muscles that deal with the blade (a central connection point) and it is possible that one of them is agitating the old injury.
Ask if they would consider a contrast dye MRI; it will give a clear picture.
Mine revealed 2 separate problems: one in the neck and the other in the right shoulder and both related to the right blade area.
I am afraid your boyfriend must have handled your back crack rather in an unprofessional way. In the first instance, when you had the light sharp back pain, it would have been fare you visited your Chiropractor again. Since you didn’t, I believe the problem has aggrevated and attacks the recently treated area of your shoulder blade. Since the spine is an extension of the collar bones, which in turn controls the shoulder blades also, it is quite natural that any abnormal posture of the spine causes you pain in the primary affected area.
Suggest you go for a MRI scan of your spinal card.
Could be a pinched nerve … at any rate definetely seek a professional to actually DO the adjustments to your back.
Now you should probably get some xrays and a professional adjustment or muscle shock therapy.
