Any idea about a shooting pain from elbow to shoulder that also sometimes causes tingling sensation in left pinky finger?

It sounds like you have a pinched nerve in either your neck, shoulder or arm. I have this myself and it stems from my neck. See a doctor if it really bothers you or even a chiropractor, maybe a few good adjustments would help greatly.
It might be a weight problem. I hear that all the time.
You have a damaged nerve, might be caused by poor circulation. If its your left arm it is possible to have mild heart attacks and not know it. See a doctor asap.
Ask yourself how your physical condition is. Then walk as much as you can or jog everyday for a half an hour.
Everyone should get their heart rate up everyday for at least 20 – 30 minutes. Its healthy, trust me. Why was PE mandatory in school.
