Sharp back pain under right shoulder blade?

I had surgery to correct scoliosis about four years ago and I often get pain in my back but it’s never lasted this long. About a week ago I went to the doctor and they said I had strained a muscle in my back which was the cause for then pain. But recently the pain has causes it to become hard to breathe and it hurts to take a deep breath as well. Any suggestions as to what could be the cause?

If I were you I would not get a script for Tramadol. I have RSD and the Dr. prescribed Tramadol for me and for one, it didn’t help with the pain at all. I got more relief from OTC Motrin. The side affects from Tramadol are horrible. If you take them for a month or longer on a daily basis you will have physical withdrawal symptoms . It said right on the bottle from the pharmacy not to skip a dose or stop taking at once. If you do some research on it you will see that a lot of people had the same problem. If you are looking for some medication to help with it then an antiinflammatory will help a lot and a mild pain killer like Tylenol #3 helped me as well as physical therapy and going to the pain clinic for injections. SO, you should go to the Dr. if it continues and have them do an x-ray or, an MRI and they will find the problem.
the strained muscle is making it hard for you to breathe. Once you get the problem resolved your breathing should be normal again.
