Severe shoulder pain help?

It all started about 2 weeks ago when it first developed. i was bed ridden with sickness and i thought it must just be sores from sitting in bed all that time. but its still with me and it is a really sore throbbing pain .it flares every know and then and turning sometimes become hard as well as picking stuff up off the floor. it is most notable when i lay down in bed or sit down. what could it be and treatment advice thnks

It depends on where the soreness in the shoulder is. If the outside, it is deltoid/capsular. If it is in front of, probably capsular or tendonous, if posterior, rotator cuff, if between shoulder blades it is muscular and vertebral.
