Severe arm shoulder pain hurts when I lift my arm?

my mom is in real bad pain she says it hurts in her shoulder bone and she can barely lift her arm ….. if anybody out there has any useful information on the subject we would be very grateful of it. The doctors that she goes to must of got their medical degree out of a cracker jack box because they are REALLY dumn….if you don’t know off hand about it could you please look it up and see what it might be and let me know .. THANK YOU

It could be a rotator cuff injury. If it hurt to raise it up, out to the side, or any swing motion then that is what it could be. It also could be a pinched nerve my mom had that problem and had to get a cortizone shot. It she cant tolerate the pain then she needs to go to another doc. Perferrably an orthopedic doc.
Arthritis–got the same thing myself for years.
she probably have what we called a frozen shoulder. she needs to see and porper orthopoedic doctor as they can inject some steroids to help with the pain and movement.
if she has no faith in her doctor then she should change to another asap, meanwhile she could try a physiotherapist
A Naturopathic doc (ND) who does soft-tissue work can help quickly. If no Naturopath, try a Myofascial Therapist.
