Pain underneath my right shoulder, pain while breathing deeply and yawning?
I’ve tried doing research on this to pinpoint some sort of at-home treatment to prevent seeing the doctor (can’t afford right now). Basically, I have a constant degree of pain below my right shoulder that I’ve never had before. The only thing I really can see that caused it was some stretching, but that isn’t out the of ordinary. Its been pretty constant now for 3 days and even hurts when I inhale deeply or yawn.
Anyone out there expieriencing this too? Any recommendations for treatment. Currrently I’m taking 8-hour tylenol.
Thank you!

if we’re trying to think on most positive terms it could just be a muscle pull. There are some gels that might help, but what is your age? I would suggest that the best thing to do would be to see a doctor to rule out other serious causes. Sorry.
could be Angina which is something you should consider getting looked at by a doctor before it turns into a major heart attack–or an acid reflux which does’nt hurt to get good prescription Nexium
I definitely don’t have any medical expertise, but I’d be more concerned if it was on the left side. I have pulled muscles in my back below my shoulder blade that radiated through my armpit and neck area. Very painful. Hurt the most when breathing deep.
I’d try to pinpoint the area and use moist heat. (Must be moist… more penetrating.)
If it worsens, or you are having sweats or heart palpatations, don’t hesitate to get to a doctor or hospital.
If it is any help I have just got over the same problem. The pain started below my right shoulder blade for a few days then went around to my chest it got so bad I could not move let alone breath deeply. I went to my doctor who said I had a trapped nerve and a possible disk bulge and was prescribed muscle relaxing pills and pain killers. I was also given some light exercises to do to get the facet joints moving. It took ten days to recover but now have a chest infection caused by shallow breathing. So please do not leave it till you are in the state I was in to see your doctor.
Good Luck
Please see your DR. My mother’s cancer was between her lungs, but it’s starting symptoms were shoulder and arm pain. I am not a fear monger nor do I want to make you panic, but have it checked out, It could be just a stressed muscle or heart issues or any number of things.
With such limited information, I do have a couple of guesses (not diagnosis’s). Could be you have pleurisy which is an inflammation of the tissue outside of the lung. Are you coughing, or spitting up sputum that’s green/yellow? Fever? If so, could be pneumonia. And you’ll definitely need anti-biotics. If you have an inflammation you will benefit from ibuprofen/aspirin (with food) rather than Tylenol-type products. I’d also suggest the old fashioned "chicken soup" as it couldn’t hurt, and it’s been found to have herbs that open up the bronchi. At any rate, please at least go to the public clinic as this could be very serious. Godloveya.
