Everytime i run i get a terriblle stabbing pain in my shoulder. It isn’t anywhere else, just in my left shoulder. Does this sound like a muscle injury that will go away or something more serious??
And is there anything i can do to stop it?

If It Is At The Front Of Your Shoulder It May Be A Collar Bone Injury And You Should Consult Your Doctor As It May Get Worse
If Its At The Back Of Your Shoulder It Will Most Likely Be A Muscular Injury To Your Trapezius, Deltoids Or Supraspinatus. In This Case I Would Suggest You Take A Visit To A Physio.

take a break from running it might just be too much movement but u should go to the doctor. put some bengay on it.
I’m not sure this will help at all but I used to get something similar only it was kind of near my collar bone. I asked a doctor about it and he said it could be cramping. Yeah, I know…cramping? I’m thinking when you jog you get leg cramps and sometimes stomache cramps but cramps in your arms and shoulders? It turns out that can happen. So, it could simply be cramping. But if you are really concerned I’d at least get a check-up.
You need to report to your Dr. to see if a cardiac stress test is required.
Hey.
When I run My shoulders both hurt..
But its usually when i go for about 5 miles and when im on a treadmill..
So if your on a treadmill then try going outside..
Cause that usually helps my shoulders.. I think its because its a lot more bouncy on a treadmill..
And if your going far then cut down to less miles..
Try stretching your arm more to loosen it up
Just rest it for three days. that’s what i did and it did not hurt anymore. If it still does go see a bone doctor for an x-ray. Hope i helped.
