Neck and shoulder pain? Any idea of what it could be?

I’ve had this weird neck/shoulder pain since last monday. I have no idea what it’s from, but it hurts when I pick up certain things, or bend down in a certain way. It’s like someone is stabbing a million and two needles in my neck/shoulder.

Could be a pinched nerve. You might want to visit a chiropractor and they can give you an x-ray.
I think maybe you slipped a disk in your spinal column. Try getting some good rest and not bending over or picking up heavy things. Good luck! (:
If you are under a lot of stress it could be tension related, and if it gets worse it could cause headaches.
If you have used any bungee equipment, or were going in one direction very rapidly and were stopped, it could be whiplash, and you should see a physical therapist quickly to make sure there was no deep tissue damage, because the pain has been so prolonged.
If you have been lifting things that you don’t normally lift it could be muscle related, and may go away as the muscles heal, but also may need medical attention if a muscle was pulled or strained.
It could also mean that your pillow is wearing out, and you should get a new, more supportive model (when mine wore out I had limited range of motion until I replaced it and my neck healed).
These are all the reasons I could think of for why your neck and shoulders could be in pain. If none of these sounds at all likely then I would seek medical assistance to make sure it is not something serious.
Get well soon.
have you been doing any heavy lifting or exercise that could have pulled a muscle or some other type of strain against your neck? I would get it checked out, because there are alot of things it could be….You most likely pulled a muscle or got a huge cramp in your neck.
find a hot tub or spa, or hot springs. if, after a few good soaks, it doesn’t go away, see a doctor.
