Today, all of a sudden, I realized my left shoulder/arm hurt. It has been getting worse throughout the day. Now I can’t even move my arm with out cringing due to the pain. Also, it feels kind of weird like when I move it it feels like it is being pulled. What’s wrong with it?? It hurts REALLY bad ![]()

Not much info to go on. Was there any injury or anything you can relate the onset of the pain too? Generally speaking pain in the shoulder/arm is caused by rotator cuff problems, bursitis, ligament issues or cartilage problems. The pain may be coming from your neck as well (an irritated disc or nerve). This can cause symptoms into your shoulder/arm as well.
I can’t really say what the specific problem is based on the information you gave but if it’s not better within a week you should see your MD. Based on what he/she tells you a referral to a physical therapist would be helpful. They can evaluate it and diagnose the exact source of the pain. From there they can apply the appropriate treatment to relieve your pain.
Hope this helps.
