Is shoulder pain a symptom of miscarriage?

I went to the emergency room yesterday because I am four weeks pregnant and I was having heavy bleeding and cramps. I was told that I was having a miscarriage but today I started having constant shoulder pain, as if I am getting stabbed. Could it be that I am having an ectopic pregnancy instead? Or is that a symptom of miscarriage also?

shoulder pain is definately a symptom of ectopic pregnancy. It can be fatal if not treated. get to your doctor and demand that they check for ectopic pregnancy! Either way, i’m sorry for your loss. Hopefully you’ll be able to try again someday.
that us a sign of an ectopic pregnancy but maybe you are haivng aches due to the miscarriage. YOu did not mention if they examined you at the hospital, if they did then chances are they would have found if it was an ectopic. Maybe you should call a dr for peace of mind. Good luck.
I saw it on Coronation Street at Christmas and the girl ended up having an ectopic pregnancy. I would make sure you get checked out ASAP.
Good luck and I hope things are ok.
well i’d ask ypur doctor about your shoulder pain as i have never herd of sholder pain being a symptom of miscarrage or even ectopic pregnancy. as i could be wrong check with your doctor
No shoulder pain is no related to having a miscarriage
Usually lower back pain is a sign of miscarriage….but I am unsure of shoulder pain. Ectopic pregnancies can also cause severe cramping and bleeding if the tube has ruptured. Please ask your doctor to check it out. You know your body, but I don’t know about the shoulder pain.
Shoulder pain can be a symptom of ectopic, but go to the ER right now!!!! Never ignore severe unexplained shoulder pain. I did once until I could no longer stand it and I almost died. I guess it’s a sign of internal bleeding which I had and didn’t know it. Please go soon.
I have heard of that being a symptom of ectopic pregnancy, I would call or get to the doctor immediately! A ruptured fallopian tube can kill you! I pray for your safety. Hurry. Go.
It is a sign of ectopic, although you will have aches and pains. I no i did. Im so sorry for your loss. If your at all wottied go to your Er. Its not worth taking a chance. They really need to scan and make sure its happening properly.
