OK this is the classic presentation of a misalignment of your back and neck. When your joints are not aligned properly, your muscles will compensate for them causing pain.
I would recommend that you see a chiropractor. They will help realign your back and neck and this should relieve a lot of the pain you are having.
I really wish you the best
You may have pulled a muscle or are having spasms and not even have lifted a finger to do it. You can so much as pick up a pencil/pen and throw your muscles or neck out of whack. Try using a warm compress to ease the pain and take 1-2 ibuprofen tablets and see if that helps you any, if the problem consists you most definitely need to see a doctor.
That can be from an insufficient gallbladder problem. If you are not eating good fats, non fat, or low fat diets, along with processed foods, your gallbladder is not happy. When that happens, your rotator cuff and shoulder will develop pain. Go see a Certified Nutritional Therapist and they can help you.
good luck to you
You might have what is called a tension headache. These are characterized by pain in the neck and shoulders similar to a headache. I suggest looking into a tension headache medicine at your local pharmacy. You can also apply some ice for like 10-15 minutes, wait an hour, then apply heat.
These pains can also be caused by stress, so make sure you are making time to relax and rest.
Good luck!
