Dry cough with a bad pain in my right shoulder?

About a 2 weeks ago I started to cough out of the blue, I thought it was just a cold. The first week it didn’t get any worse and didn’t get any better, but recently its become more constant and violent. About 2 hours ago I started to cough and noticed a very very sharp pain in my right shoulder. My only allergy is pollen, but it’s almost winter so I doubt it was that. Could anyone help?

I know I don’t have herpes, and I have a constant excruciating pain in my left shoulder–the pain is so bad that it wakes me up. Heat and Motrin are helping–a hot bath is the best. The dry cough and sniffles are almost gone.
That would be herpes.
yep
Go to the doctor. No one on here has any idea
I’m guessing because you tense your muscles when you cough or lean in a way that tenses or pulls the muscle and causes the pain. It’s happened to me a lot. I’ll cough and I’ll get a pain in my arm sometimes, it’s weird. Allegra D will help with the cough, because it’s caused by nasal drip
It really does work, because a lot of cough medicines, %90 I’d say don’t work. It’s been proven, awhile ago on the news, but allegra helps relieve congestion so you cough a lot less too, and can sleep better
Hope this helps you out. Just give it a shot and it should reduce your cough, and hopefully your pain too.
OMG SWINE FLU!
A cough that has lasted that long needs medical attention. At the least, a doctor can rule out anything that might need antibiotics in cases of some kind of infection. The fact that the cough is dry can mean that whatever is in there can’t break on it’s own. Since breathing is important…you’ve waited long enough. What you don’t need is a winter bug (cold, flu) when you’re already having symptoms. It’s time to go see the doc.
Get well soon!!
Since your cough is getting worse, I would say go to the doctor. I had a cough like that awhile back that turned out to be walking pneumonia. If you are coughing anything out that is yellow or greenish color you need to go to the doctor immediately. If you feel a popping sort of thing at the back of your throat (remiscent of rice crispies popping in the back of your throat) you need to see the doctor immediately. If you feel like you constantly need to clear your throat, it needs to be checked. If you cough so hard you start losing consciousness, you need to go to the doctor (your sight darkens and you feel like you are going to pass out). All these could be signs of pneumonia.
