Did anyone else have lots of shoulder pain after lap-band surgery?

I just had lap-band surgery a few days ago and my shoulder hurts so bad I cannot believe it. I am not wimpy about pain either. I have had two really difficult labor and deliveries and nothing compared to the pain I am having in my shoulder right now. I have put hot pads on it, taken pain meds, put icy hot on it, nothing helps. Did anyone else have this pain? What did you do to cope with it? Also, how long did it last? Please tell me it goes away quickly.

I also had lap band surgery on 11/11/08 and have the same pain. I am taking darvocet n100-650 mg every 6 hours. I think between this and time it going to keep getting better everyday.
That would be gas and completely normal. My mom had the same thing. Not much you can do about it. Hers lasted about a week or 2.
