I rarely say this, but please seek immediate medical attention. While it may be just heartburn or a sore muscle or something else, a distinct sign of a heart attack is pain that radiates from the chest to the left shoulder / arm.
Don’t wait and take a chance.

note: obviously, if this is a constant pain and not some kind of sudden onset, the previous answers are a lot more likely. and, yes, while it’s highly unlikely a 15-year-old would have a heart attack, it is possible.
You might have just pulled a muscle. Have you been sick recently? Sometimes if you are coughing a lot you can end up pulling a muscle from all the stress of coughing. If the pain is consistent i would look into seeing your doctor as soon as possible. and if it gets really really bad, go to the hospital or call 911. Seriously though, get checked out as soon as possible. It could be anything from a torn muscle, to heart burn, to possible signs of heart disease. Best of luck, hope you feel better.
sounds like you hurt the muscle underneath your shoulder blade. Go get a massage.
go see a doctor if your concerned, or talk to your parents
pulled a deep muscle i have had a pain like that when i was young
Call 911 NOW!!! I am not playing,it may be a sore muscle, but that is a symptom/warning sign of a heart attack!!!
You might have strained a muscle on your chest wall that lies in between your ribs I just recovered from something similar. Just take it easy for a while but if it lasts more than a week go see a doctor it cant be anything serious really seeing as how your very active and only 14 it might also be bronchitus when your lung tube swell up and get full of mucus. Think about when it started and try to figure out how it might have happened . If you wanna know anything else just e-mail me ill try to help out some more. Good luck.
Does your pain increase when you take a deep breath? If it does, you probably pulled a muscle during cheer leading practice. Go right away and tell your parents or another trusted adult about this. They will know what to do next. Good luck.
the heart thing, possibly heart burn? take tums and learn more about it on WebMd (website)
they shoulder pain, well u might sleep on it wrong or from the cheerleading
try like putting creme on it or like the patches where it hurts and it helps a lot
u can find all that stuff at Target or Walmart or like you know, any drugstore at like CVS, Walgreens, etc
if it keeps hurting and continues, tell your parent and schedual a doctors appointment to fine why
but the stuff that i said helps a ton!
good luck!!!!
=)
try not worry I’m sure if it was ya heart you would have pain down your right arm! but don’t know why your getting pain in ya left shoulder blade! i think its a pulled mussel in a strange place but i would see your doctor to be sure
This has happened to me before from sleeping on my side, it made my upper body out of place and in sort of need of an adjustment. You can do a couple of things. Sit on a chair with a low back and then stretch backwards over the chair to try to sort of "crack" it into place. Or you can try stretching movies by using your arm on a wall then stretching the shoulder blade/chest in the opposite direction. Sometimes you hear a "pop" and it pops back into place or you keep stretching it and it’ll eventually feel better. A chiropractor may not be a bad thing. I love them, went on and off since I was a kid.
Other issues you can look into as well:
If you think it’s an actual muscle pull (which would hurt like none other) then see a doctor for an MRI or something to look at tears and while you’re there make sure they rule out any heart problems.
As far as creams: I would skip that b/c that just covers up the problem and too much cream (daily use) can cause death (it happened to a teenager recently). If you go the cream route, I’d say natural Arnica oil or cream is good.
