treatment for hands numbness?

while sleeping i woke up with my right hand numbness and tingling some times asleep, some time both hands with same problem getting normal with fingers move ment .i contacted neurologist. i have hyper tension with diabetic and got stenting for left decending artery.further i sleep more hours than normal pressing the hands under shoulder.now i want appropriate treatment or medicalsuggestion for the same,so that resultant pain can be relieved.allopathic treatment is preferable.neurologist suggested gabantin. i have used gabantin but with stoppage of the same again it is occuring.if gabantin has to be continued how many months i need to take the drug .diabetis is under controle.i used gabantin for three months.kindly suggest appropriate treatment as i have under gone all the tests with the problem and all are normal.

I have a really bad pain, upper chest and left shoulder, that I have to live with. Over the counter pain killers are ineffective and prescription analgesics are causing me to experience really bad nausea..

I’m looking for either, some good distractions, or some alternative pain relief, or both. Will try just about anything – As long as it is legal and not potentially dangerous…

shoulder pain? question :(!!!!?

I think I’ve pulled a muscle in my shoulder. It hurts to move it behind my head and straight out from the side. is it dislocated? or did I just pull it?
also what should I do with treatment? I cheer everyday (lift people) and tumble..

Anyone here had tendinitis in their shoulder?

What exactly does it feel like?
My shoulder has been hurting off and on for about 2 weeks. At the worst it feels like a spike in the front part of my shoulder with pain all the way down my arm into my palm. Heat seems to help it and keeping down at my side. If you’ve had it, what kind of treatment have you had done? I’ve heard cortisone shots help but they’re very painful too.
It’s on the side I slept on for years. Could that be contributing to it?

I have mild shoulder pain, which really only bothers me while sleeping (not during the day). I’ve always been a side sleeper, and I’m having a hard time adjusting to sleeping on my back. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pressure on my shoulder while I sleep on my side? A certain way to arrange pillows? Or a specialty product specifically made for this issue?

Yes, I’ve already seen a doctor, and am going through physical therapy. But in the meantime, I need some relief.

Can someone please tell me the treatment plan for a labral tear or any type of tear that is made worse by PT or that is not responding to treatment? I think something bigger is going on but I have not had an MRI yet…

I was diagnosed with "swimmers shoulder" 9 weeks ago. I have gone to PT three times and each time we have to adjust the exercises to make them easier or just drop them altogether. I stopped my home PT completely and my shoulder continues to get even more painful. My most recent session was Wednesday but my mom called the therapist yesterday and told him that I couldn’t do my exercises anymore. They aren’t in on Fridays. The treatment plan was ice, NSAIDS and PT and I continue to get worse. I have gotten significantly worse in the last 5 days. My shoulder now pops out really hard when I lean on it or lifting anything heavier than a water bottle. I now have a 7 out of 10 pain level and my shoulder is burning. IT JUST HURTS! And the grinding is MUCH more severe- same with the clicking. I used to only have it with overhead motion but now I have it with any movement.

I need advice regarding neck pain.?

I have had neck/shoulder pain for over 25 years. I have had several Dr’s and treatments from injections to P.T. three times a week. It always flares up and nothing really ever seems to make it go away. I hate taking pain med’s and will only take them when I can stand the pain any longer. Nothing ever really takes the "burning" away…….any help would be appreciated!
Thank you everyone for the advice. I did try a chiropractor and I can’t afford it. He recommended me going 3 times a week at 60.00 per visit. (insurance wouldnt cover) I wish I could have tried that option. I need to get back to work, but I am afraid my neck will get worse since I work on a computer at a desk all day.

Why do I have this shoulder pain?

I’m a 17 year old female with a history of joint issues, such as patella-femoral syndrome, many twists and sprains of my ankles and wrists, and a fracture of my left wrist from a fall. And now, ever since a hernia surgery on my stomach, I’ve had intense shoulder pain. If I let that left arm dangle, it feels like it’s going to dislocate. It hurts to lift anything, stretching is only a temporary relief sometimes-usually it’s just really painful-and when i reach my arm straight across to lay on my collarbone (like the traditional gym warm-up stretch) it’s so painful I almost start to cry. Any ideas?

what kind of pain treatment can i expect?

I am 19 years old. Ive been roughed up doing martial arts for many years of my life. And i have have been jumped by gang kids and beat with things. I have also been in a car wreck.
My mother has rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia.
my back consistently hurts, my shoulders, hips, knees, ankles, hands, wrists and neck hurt most of the time.
I cant work out as often, i can go running, i cant sit for long periods of time.. and i take Ambien to sleep and i still cant sleep well. anf for some reason my muscles have a dull achy pain most of the time.
If i go see a doctor or a pain specialist, what do you think they will do to try to help?
Doctors advice, people currectly in pain treatment, you input is expecially helpful. particularly if you have any advice or warnings

I have seen an Osteopath twice for my long term low back pain. She ‘diagnosed’ a locked/tight lumbar sacral region with the area above hypermobile and also thinning disc (not sure which one but way down low). Also piriformis pain.
After each treatment the pain has been far far worse, this weekend i could hardly walk, had a stiff painful shoulder, hip area pain, and pain radiating down my legs (which i only usually get if my back is flaring up badly) – just pain everywhere basically!
Should i keep going for treatments in the hope that it will help? Or is this just making it all worse?
