Had a therapuetic ultrasound from chiropractor. my shoulder and arm area kept flinching during treatment. it felt wierd. the next day i felt pain in my shoulder area. felt like arthritis.

Can this therapeutic ultrasound make problems worse?

I am a 22 year old male and I have been suffering with very severe and chronic neck and shoulder pain for a year and 9 months now. I have gone to two doctors, had two CT scans and an MRI (they found nothing but a pinched nerve-no disk herniations or anything)…I do ice and heat therapy every night, have done every stretch imaginable, been to chiropractors, etc…I am in so much pain it is unbearable at this point-the back of my head and my neck and shoulder are so swollen it’s ridiculous and I have weakness in my right arm now. The pain gets worse with every month…it did go away for almost a month about a year ago but has been back full force for the past year…I am at my wits end with this because nothing seems to help. Any suggestions from anyone? Anything will help me at this point…plus I know it is driving my fiancee crazy that I can’t move most of the time at night

I have been taking taking pain killers for my cervical spondulosis and other related pain for the past few years. I stopped taking celebrex for the past one year since my reflux problem in my stomach. I started taking celebrex since yesterday as I cannot bear the pain in my joints and muscles in the whole of my right hand. Will retaking celebrex hurt my stomach in any way. Since I am taking Omeprazole for my stomach now, will it protact my stomach from pain killers. Is there any other safer relief for the killing pain in the whole of my right hand, as I feeling crippled.
Dosage –
Omeprazole 20mg -One in the moring and one in the evering.
Celebrex 200mg – same as above

Both medications dispensed at government hopitle.

Today I woke up and had severe pain in my neck. I’m assuming it was from the way I was laying. I read that if your pillow is not supporting your head correctly in a side laying position it can strain muscles. My neck hurts so badly now! I hardly can move it and if I move it slightly the wrong way I get this extreme shooting pain from my neck down to my shoulder. Can anyone suggest something I can do to ease the pain? I do not want to see the doctor for just a strained neck, and i already took Advil, so I’d appreciate suggestions other than those. Thanks much!

have you had this therapy before? I am also getting laser therapy 2 times a week to compliment the shockwave.
I have been unable to lift weights for basically over 2 years because the pain was so bad.
I have had 3 shockwave treatments so far with results I was hoping from just 1 treatment.

I was told that improvements will be seen for a few months after the last treatment. is this true? I have 1 more treatment left.

I’ve posted this in the pregnancy section as well, but I know that answers come slow this time of night so I figured I’d post here as well.

I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, my next appointment with my OB is not until next thursday in the afternoon and I would feel silly calling labor and delivery at 3:30 in the morning.

I know that swelling is normal, I’ve been swelling off and on for weeks on end. But now I am unable for the last few hours to even wiggle my toes. Normall I’ll put my sneakers on as it reduces the swelling but I can’t even get my shoes on over my toes!

I don’t have a headache. I’ve had one high blood pressure reading over a month ago which was due to anxiety because I was late to the appointment. Other than that, my BP runs a normal 110/70 or similar. I’ve never been told that they’ve found protein in my urine. No nausea or vomiting. No changes in vision. No racing pulse, no anxiety, no mental confusion, no trouble breathing. No stomach or shoulder pain. No swelling in the face, but moderate swelling in the hands. So I believe this rules out pre-eclampsia.

Only thing I have is the severe swelling in my feet and back pain, but the back pain I attributed to sitting on the floor while putting the crib together today.

Anyone have any ideas? Anyone else swell this bad to where you couldn’t wiggle your toes? I’m currently icing them, drinking water and hubby massaging my feet. Any ideas tossed around would be appreciated!

it feels like i pulled it but i dont know how, it came on suddenly and painfully, does anyone have a quick remedy for the pain.
