In Only A Few Weeks, I Completely Healed My Shoulder Injury

All The Pain Was Gone!

Shoulder Pain Symptoms Archives

Hey I was wondering about the likely hood of my pain in my chest and shoulder being due to medication i’m taking or stress or both. (Just a warning this is going to be long).

Just to clear this up I’ve been suffering from sever panic attacks for around the last 10 months, I’m also on an anti-depressant for them "AVANZA Sol Tab 30mg". I’ve been on the medication for nearly 3months (1 month on 15mg and 2 months on 30mg). I’m only 17, female, 165cm, and around 50kg.

I know the medication i’m on can have muscle aches and pains as symptoms especially on higher doses (I’m currently on the average adult dose of 30mg even though i’m still only 17 and I think the highest dose in a single tablet is 45mg but you can probably take more than 1 tablet for higher doses).

Within the last week I’ve been getting chest pain above my upper left breast. It then started to work it’s way around my shoulder(left) and under my arm (left). Last night I got a pretty nasty bout of it where the muscles in my shoulder felt really tight and uncomfortable, and of course knowing me I freaked out over it thinking I was having a nasty reaction to the meds or having a heart attack or something and probably just made it all the worse. I ended up using a cream called "Deep Heat" (which my dad suggested) which is for muscle aches and pains and it went away, and I am obviously still alive and kicking.

You would think that if I was going to have a nasty reaction to the meds I would have had it already since it’s been 3 months. I don’t take any other medication other than a panadol here and there, but I didn’t have one last night and I don’t drink any alcohol (obviously). I know that I was sweating and having trouble breathing last night, but as far as I’m concerned that was the panic attack working not tthe meds, and I was probably over breathing and that’s why I was feeling breathless (after all I thought I was having a heart attack or something), and the sweating is a common side effect when I panic since I had it before I was on medication as well.

I also do ALOT of sitting (mainly at the computer (It’s a hobby) and I home school (Independently) so I use the comp for that alot too) but walk for around 20mins daily (as my doctor has suggested) other than that I’m not really very active, but I’m in the healthy range for my weight (just (or at least I was before the meds, I used to be bordering underweight)), although the medication has made me put on around 4kg since I started taking it (which isn’t a bad thing since I’m so skinny), I’ve never had an eating disorder or anything I’ve always been the type that can eat ALOT and not put on any weight.

So back to the Original question, do you think it’s the meds giving me the muscle aches or the anxiety, and any suggestions on how to help ease the symptoms? (preferably not a bottle of pills :/…not one for medication)… I am considering telling my doctor that I want to go off the meds when I see him next wednesday, since they don’t appear to be working and only stressing me out more (making me think that I’m having an adverse reaction to the drugs)…I’d rather go herbal or just stick to CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy) with my psychologist.

The symptoms are from stress, which is hard to avoid being a teacher. Muscle relaxers from the doctor work but I would like to try something new that doesn’t knock me out. Thanks!

Sometimes it doesn’t hurt at all then other times (like when I make the climb up my 3 flights of stairs or lay on my left side) It hurts pretty bad. The pain is behind my left shoulder near my neck… I called my OBGYN this morning. They didn’t call me back until the office closed and I missed the phone call. All They said in the message tho was that if it persists to go to a walk-in or call them back in the am… I have rea olnline about Ectopic pregnancies and I know that shoulder pain is a symptom of a rupture.. Should I be worried even if they seem so calm about it? This is my first baby and just praying everything is ok. Thanks
It goes away for a while then comes back?? I get very mild stomach cramps, but those are usually associated with gas (sorry).

My mother has been having severe pain in her shoulder and the doctors say they can’t figure out what it is (of coarse), so how would she know if it is a torn tendon?

I’m 16 + i have since about mid-march been having really bad panick attacks. To where i think i’m going to die + tremors…etc. I also think i’m my heart is going to stop + freak out. The last attack was in the beginning of June…i called the ambulance b/c i was convinced my heart had stopped. They hooked me up to monitors + said that i was fine.

Since then…i’ve been having really bad random pains above my rib cage on the left side. I looked it up + it said that i could have PCS-Precordial Catch Syndrome. They listed things that i should look out for if its not that. I have almost all of the symptoms::
Chest pain that extends into the left side of the jaw or arm
a cough that produces phlegm
Extreme anxiety with the pain or a feeling of “impending doom”
Blueness or paleness of the lips or fingernails
An irregular, rapid, or pounding heart rate
Marked difficulty breathing or catching one’s breath

So, i really think that you could help.
Thanks.

I have suffered with numbness and pain to my right arm, carpel tunnel syndrome has been ruled out. Dead shoulder and pain in my shoulder and neck. My back muscles seize up and now my lower back feels tight, like there is huge pressure on it. I also am suffering with sciatica..

My son was diagnosed with a torn labrum and other significant damage to his shoulder due to a dislocation playing football. He is in no pain, has full range of motion, and still has all his strength in his arm and shoulder. The doctor is recommending surgery but he has no symptoms. Is this unusual or has anyone had this happen to them.
Thanks so much for your input. Him being only 15 yrs old this could be a crucial decision we are making for him. We have a lot to think about.

Just curious..

There seems to be mixed information about this online.

Thanks :)

Help me with my shoulder pain..?

Since yesterday I’ve experienced the following symptoms in my shoulder, dull pain around the entire shoulder, limited motion, slight swelling and a lot of uncomfortable sleeping positions. I am planning to go to the doctor as well. But I need some general ideas to research. Also, would the doctor put me in a sling because of the amount of movement I do at work? Thanks :)
