I have really bad neck and shoulder pain. This pain gets worse when i sit or stand and also when i am under stress. It also includes my upper back area and the pain is sharp and some times makes me feel numb and cold from that part. Now what i understand is that it can be because of lack of sleep, stress, body posture etc. but i reserached on the web and found that there could be serious illness related to it. I do not know what to do? should i go for medical assistance or take rest until it is gone. Also, i am feeling tired and weak with this pain. Nausea is another symptom that is happening to me once a day. I feel hungry all the time as well but then do not feel like eating. Some body please reply.

I have been dealing with pain in my shoulder for a while, been back and forth to the doctor but no one seems to think anything is wrong. The thing that concerns me is that sometimes I feel light headed, and I feel like possibly there is a vein that is cut off or something. My left arm periodically feels weak and the veins get really really skinny, very different from my other hand. What could this be? I remember before this all started happening about 7 months ago that I had this lump show up towards the back of my neck that was pulsing, almost as if blood was trying to get thru. I know I need to schedule an MRI… But do you have any idea of what this could be?

I have been having symptoms for 8 wks now . I have sor finger joints and swelling started on right hand and spread to left. I had shoulder pain in left side now it has turned to a throbbing ache in left and right side at back of shoulders just below neck.
Anyone had any similar symptoms any ideas would be greatful.

I have been to my doc and my doc has currently signedme off sick and sent me to rheumatologist for further tests and diagnosis. I am currently taking Tramadol for pain and diclofenac for swelling.

I had arthroscopic surgery for impingement syndrome in April-2008. I did have physical therapy but I still have considerable pain in my shoulder. I did regain some movement, but I have almost the same pain symptoms as I did before the surgery. I did have a small tear, but not large enough for surgical repair. Has anyone ever had the same results?

My sister is undergoing a biposy tomorrow to see if she has cancer.

She’s had bone pain in her arm for over one year now. One doctor diagnosed it as an arthritic joint in late 2005. Another put her on anti-inflammatories and physical therapy for bursitis/frozen shoulder in October of 2006. The drugs alleviated the bone pain a little bit but the shoulder joint and back and spine remained very achey. She looked uncomfortable and pale all of the time and I kept telling her that maybe she should see another doctor.

She finally went to a different doctor last week when she noticed some swollen lymph nodes in her neck. Her blood tests revealed that she’s very anemic.

Do anti-inflammatories delay a correct diagnisis of cancer by masking/reducing bone pain? She’s been looking unwell for a long time and unfortunately, her doctors only viewed her as a body part (in this case a shoulder) instead of a whole person who looked quite obviously, unwell. I’m just terribly worried about her

tightness and raw feeling between shoulder blades which feels like infection, but no coughing. Been to the dr. for possible reflux, but no diagnosis. Now my throat is becoming really raw also. Could this be symptoms of something going on with my lungs. It feels like I’ve been laying on a bad matress at night. Could you please help? This is very annoying.

I had all these symptoms,had an ultrasound to check for gallstones, came back fine but showed fat in liver, but dr. said this would not cause the pains? Now last 2 days, pain is on my upper left side by ribs. any ideas what this could be? AT times I also feel bloated.

I don’t really know what has caused my shoulder to hurt, but it has been hurting for a while now, and I’m not sure how to treat it.

Symptoms:
-Tender to the touch near/on shoulder blade.
-Constant dull pain, worsens with movement, especially rolling the shoulder.
-’Crunching’ noise/feeling on moving.

I know I should go to the doctor, but while I’m waiting for an appointment, does anyone know of any methods to stop it hurting? An ice pack or heat pack or bandage or something?
