I have the weirdest and most painful pain in my shoulder than i have ever had. MY shoulder pain gradually got worse and it is now to a point where i cant life it up…….here are some of my other symptoms
Little or no pain in the mornin, unless i move it up or down-then the pain is SEVERE
Pain that is all over my shoulder- can’t exactly pin point it but very bad on the back/side area.
EXTREME pain at night to a point where i wake up because i cant stay in that position because it hurts
It feels like my shoulder shifts out of place and is grinding
numbness when i hold my arm out to the side or in frount, but on the bottom of my arm
and last but not least, pain when i touch the top part of my shoulder and in the back towards the side
Im getting an MRI as soon as my insurance approves it, but i want to know what im in for before i get news. IF anyone has had and dimmilar story and a diagnosis, or thninks they know what i tore, PLEASE HELP! sometimes i think im going crazy because it hurts really bad somtetimes and sometimes not so bad. Hello
I posted here a couple weeks ago because I had some unusual (for me) pms symptoms. Even thought it could be pregnancy at one point.
Well, weeks before my period last month I felt crampy. Not super intense but dull pulling cramps. I ended up getting my period 5 days before schedule (which is pretty unusual for me) and the pain was definitely a code red. Bad cramps run in my family but these were a few degrees harsher.
Well, my period has been over for a few days now, but I still feel mild, dull cramps. And yesterday I began feeling a pain in my right shoulder.
I doubt this is an emergency room issue, but I can’t see my dr. till next week. Should I insist on being seen? Has anyone else had problems like this?
My bowl movements are normal, like I said I just had my period and am not pregnant, so that rules 2 things out of a myriad of possibles. It does not hurt when I pee, or have sex.
The only other symptom that could be related is I’ve had a different smell coming from me occationally. I’d have to compare it to the scent of string beans or brussel sprouts. (Eating yogurt makes this go away) I was tested for bv somewhat recently and my cultures were normal. My partner is an intact man and tho we are very clean, sometimes my ph is effected by sex.
Just hoping I could hear some of your similar stories to ease my mind or encourage me to demand a dr. visit.
Thank you!

I have had the shoulder pain (in between my left shoulder blade and spine) for almost nine years. I have had the chest discomfort or "gurgling feelings" in my chest/skipped beat feelings for about 3 months. The light headedness just started over the last week. In the past I have been diagnosed with slightly elevated blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and mitral valve prolapse (mild).
I checked my heart beat (70 per minute) and blood pressure today 135/90 so it is slightly high today. Also, aspirin makes me feel better as does rest. Walking, steps, etc. tire me out more than usual and make me light headed a little. Also, eating sugar helps somewhat when I feel light headed. I don’t think it is a heart attack but I am not sure.
Has anyone else ever had symptoms like this for a long time and it turned out to be anything but a heart attack?

I started coughing really badly for a few days now. Before that I have some symptoms and I’m just now reading about whooping cough. I’m just wondering if there’s a good chance that I have whooping cough b/c unlike ordinary coughs, I’ve started having a little bit of pain in my left shoulder/neck. I’ve read a few articles but it doesn’t say anything about shoulder pains only chest/breastbone pains are symptoms. Any ideas? Thanks!

I am a 32 year old female who has had worsening pain since I started a job where I have to sit at a computer for lengthy periods of time. I have been having right shoulder pain for 10 mos. that is like a gnawing, cramping pain just below the base of my neck. I also have pressure in the inner right forearm and numbness and tingling in my right hand which seems to be most severe in the middle, index and ring fingers. I had a shot of cortisone in my cervical spine which solved the problem for about 2 months. I have had 2 physical therapists tell me that these are classic symptoms of a bulged disc but my MRI did not reflect that. I had one doctor tell me that it is Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and another said it is just muscle spasms and I need to do more of an upper body workout. Physical therapy has helped but my sessions are limited due to insurance. I used a home decompression/traction unit but it seemed to cause severe headaches at the base of my skull. What could be causing this and what can I do to get rid of the pain?
I do take Tramadol and it helps a little.

I have a large right paracentral disc herniation at c6-7 that i got from a mva 8 months ago. Since the accident my chief complaint has been an extremely sharp pain around the edge of my right shoulder blade whenever i try to look down. At first i was told it was as a result from whiplash and would go away. I have had very little symptoms in my shoulder or arm. I do occassionall have slight numbness and tingling in my right forearm and hand and have a tendency to just let go of things for no reason. Nerve conduction shows up normal with no signs of cervical radiculopathy but the testing was done with me laying down comfortably and i was in almost no pain during testing. I asked for the testing to be redone with flexion and extension but was told the results would be the same. tension therapy to my neck does help somewhat with the pain. Laying flat with my head supported i feel almost no pain but i cant look down!!! anyone ever had similar or heard of this PLEASE help

Last night, my shoulder started to hurt as if someone had punched me- hard! It was pretty uncomfortable. Then, when I woke up, it hurt even more, except then if I tried to move it around a lot, I got a sharp pain in my joint. My arm has felt a little cold a few times today for seemingly no reason. No other symptoms. I have no idea where this came from! I know I can go to the doctor, but I don’t have insurance, so I only want to go if this sounds like a huge problem. What could be wrong?

My wife hasbeen experiencing severe pain for the past week.
Symptoms: first there was severe pain caused by swollen lymph nodes behind her right ear; that progressed to severe internal pain near her left shoulder blade which has persisted; if she lies very still on her back the pain dissipates; lymph nodes behind right ear and in neck are inflamed but no longer cause pain
Diagnostic tests: CT scan (chest and back) was negative
Pain medications: doctors have prescribed Tylenol with codeine and OxyContin
Doctors have not been able to diagnose.
