I have had a tense neck and shoulder for about 10 days now. It is only sore on the left side but the right side is a little bit tender as well. the top of my left shoulder feels like im "bruised" when I touch it and it most hurts when I am sitting up straight. I also have the need to crack my neck every morning on that side to relieve stiffness (I never really cracked my neck before this). Do you have any suggestions to relieve pain or treat this? Know what could cause it? I am an 18 year old female.

When I have a stressful day, I get a knot at the back of my left shoulder and sometimes this sharp pain goes down my arm (to about my elbow) and up my neck (to about my ear). Does this happen to anyone else?

My shoulder hurts when I extend my arm out in front of me and slowly bring it across my body to the other side. It doesn’t hurt if I extend it to the side, over my head, or any other way. It only hurt if I extend my arm in front of me and bring it across my body. What could be causing this?

Note: It doesn’t hurt if I extend my arm out in front of me. It just gradually beings to hurt as I bring it across my body. What muscles are involved in this movement and what could be the cause?

I started having pain in my right shoulder when I was 15 and through the years it has got worse. It feels like a dull and sharp pain all at once. Sometimes when I raise my arm it fells like someone is stabbing me. I have seen my doctor and have been diagnosed with bursitis ,but ,now I am having the same problem in my other shoulder.
I don’t have to be doing anything for them both to cause me extreme pain.

I have never played sports or done anything I can think of to get bursitis.
I am wondering if anyone can shed some light on what this could be or how to make it feel better.
The doctors won’t help me and I’m in such pain that i’ts hard for me to work.
there are times when it doesn’t hurt at all.

I wondered if anyone can help re: shoulder pain which started two weeks with no just cause.

The pain is in the front of my shoulder, going slightly into the arm pit. The pain is not worsened by movement of the shoulder nor is any movement restricted. However movement often causes ‘jarring’ of the joint and loud cracking/clicking noises, which does hurt more. My shoulders almost feel like they’re ‘out of position,’ and feels like they’ve rolled forwards making me look like I’m sloughing. I can not lie on them at night as this hurts too much. My arms are also ‘dead’ as though I’ve been sleeping on them funny, expect this lasts all day. I’m also getting ‘shooting pains’ down the arms occasionally throughout the day.

I’ve been to my docs twice now but he had no idea what was causing it so just gave me painkillers (which haven’t worked) and told me to rest. It’s getting worse though everyday.

Anyone any suggestions as to what it is or how to stop the pain?

My left shoulder has been sore for 1 week. The pain seems to be very slowly increasing. It is not too sore to keep me from going about my normal activities, yet. It seems to hurt the most when I lift my arm up. I have not done anything to cause this or had any kind of injury there before. Anyone know what could cause this?

If I sit, stand, or lie still too long or if I don’t move my arm/shoulder for a while, my right shoulder hurts really bad. It’s isn’t like it’s just stiff, but it actually really hurts. I never did anything to my shoulder that would have caused it. It’s been like this for probably a year or two but it’s starting to get worse. What would cause something like this and is there anything I can do about it? I don’t know if age would be a factor, but I’m only 16.

I recently was driving when my shoulder locked up causing it to pop. It’s hurt ever since. I thought I tore something, but now im starting to think a pinched nerve. Now Im starting to have continuous headaches. Mainly a pretty strong pain above my right eye. Do you think this is related? what should I do?

i was just recently in the hospital because i have scarlet fever, and my doctor diagnosed me with a heart murmur. i forgot to ask her, if its causing my shoulder pain. when i play volley ball, do runs at school, or even walk too much my shoulder kills and i cant move it. im thirteen, it cant be arthritis. ive been getting this pain since i was in grade one, curently im in grade eight and its gotten much much worse this year. can somebody please tell me if this is caused by my heart murmur ! thank youu, <3
