Yesterday I injured my neck and I was wondering if its worth it to go to the ER. I was reaching up above my head and tieing something on a ladder very tight. When I went to tie the knot harder i heard/felt my neck pop. Sine then my neck has gotten so stiff I can BARELY get in/out of bed without grunting and having sharp pains in my neck. The only reason I would go to the ER is for pain medicine because nothing over-the-counter is helping and I cannot remove a hand from my neck without getting sharp pains. I’m sure all they will wanna do is an x-ray or something and tell me 2 go 2 a chiropractor but the pain is unbearable. Any advice???
Sorry. Forgot to add that I tried Icy Hot… and that this problem ususally happens once every 3 months. This one by far is the worst pain though.

I had an accident causing whiplash on the 23rd Dec. I recovered and was pain free by the new year. On Tuesday the pain came back with severity and I hadn’t done anything. I’m told it’s early days and whiplash can return, but now the pain has gone into my right shoulder. Should I be worried?
I take tramadol for the pain and the website you put on there was a dating one. Thank’s Andy for the first real answer!

Hi.. when I move my neck/head downwards the tip of my right shoulder blade hurts a bit in between my shoulder blade and my spine area. And being Idle there is also a slight pain to it. Anyone have this? Or does anyone think that this is serious. I went to see my doctor but he doesnt pay attention to his patients..not too sound rude..but its true. Im 24 so he figures I’m healthy and nothing should be wrong. Just wondering if this sounds like a Lung thing? or a muscle thing?

I have just started playing darts and have some pain in my elbow and shoulder of my throwing arm.
How long can I safely play darts per day without causing damage to my arm?
I usually play between 20 minutes and up to 2 hours per day.

She has been gardening today for approximately 4 hours, could this be the cause and if so why does it only give her pain on one side of her arm/shoulder/fingers and not all over ? The pain is very strong.
