I just went to the doctor today and got xrays and he said my 4th rib from the top was broken on my right side and i failed to mention that it was giving me pain under my left shoulder blade I heard this might mean the rib is pushing on my lungs? do you know what it could be??

I Cant do any upper body exercise due to my right shoulder and cant do any lower body exercise due to the knee problem. I tried swimming but it too causes shoulder pain. Have tried different doctors and physiotherapy without any success…….I AM JUST 34 YEARS OLD. HOW WILL I LIVE THE REST OF MY LIFE WITHOUT EXERCISE???, I will probably die young due to lack of exercise. this is very frustrating.

I get a pain in my left neck and shoulder when I walk for 5 minutes or more. It can be casued by dancing and usually takes the same amount of time to start hurting. Some activities dont seem to induce the pain, for example rowing is typically pain free. But cycling causes pain. The pain is accompanied by trigger points on the side of my neck, left trap, below left shoulder blade, left tricep, just across the left elbow towards the inner forarm, and sometimes on my left sideunder my arm pit around the top of the rib cage. I can usually calm the pain down by stopping walking, taking deep breaths, and stretching neck and shoulder. Stressfull situations can cause the same pains and trigger points,

I was practicing rifle at my highschool (for colorguard) and about an hour after, my shoulder started to really hurt. it felt like it was burning. it has got to the point where it goes up the side of my neck and to about my elbow. it has been three days and it hasn’t gotten any better. ive iced it, put some heat, and took advil, nothing has helped yet. any ideas?

I get this terrible sharp, acute pain on my right shoulder blade whenever I breath in deeply. It only happens about 1-2 a week. I heard that it could be gas pain (I have IBS, so I do tend to have a lot of gas). Or a neck problem. Could someone please clear this up for me? Thanks!

I did normal things this morning.. Got toast for breakfast, watched tv.. etc. Got up from watching a movie and if i move my body a certain way or turn/move my neck to the right, I get this really bad pain between my spine and right shoulder blade. I have never had it before and it hurts so bad! I played badminton on thurs and have pulled a muscle in my right arm but i had no symptoms in my shoulder before today.. Massaging it does not work- and according to my Dad the muscles feel all tense in the shoulder and I need to relax them but I can’t!

If anyone else has something like this or has any suggestions to help.. Then please write them in!

Yesterday, after doing 4 sets of dumbbell rows at a higher weight than usual, I felt a sharp pain in my shoulder that has persisted throughout today. There is no swelling, and there is no pain when my shoulder is not moving, but definitely is when I move it around. Any ideas what might have happened?

My friend has been having back trouble for months now but just recently it has gotten worse. She can feel it all the way from the lower back up into her lower scalp and it is persistant pain. Currently her neck is unable to move from pain and she "just wants to rip it off". Also when she would bend her neck looking towards the ground, and would rotate her head side to side you could feel a vein like object jumping from one side of the vertebrae to the other. I don’t have that so I was wondering if it was abnormal and what is it?

It started a week or two ago with pain right in the joint, turning my arm in certain directions it felt like something was trapped in the joint and hurt like hell. Its now progressed to being a generalised dull pain that covers my entire shoulder joint, and goes down as far as my shoulder blade and up into my neck. I get the odd pain in the upper muscle of my arm and even a shooting pain in my forearm.
It feels like my shoulder has been stood on by a elephant.
Any ideas?

Muscle Pain and weakness upper left chest and left shoulder blade.?
So for the past 6 months I have been dealing with pain after pain after pain the newest is upper left above breast chest pain or twitching and left shoulder pain, along with right in the middle of back between shoulder blades and upper neck.Sometimes hard to breath a little horse and sometimes headachs or tingling in head that goes to elbow on the left arm. I have been givin lorazepam , cymbalta and lithum for depression pain and anxiety. I have been to many doctors and Still no relieft can someone help me…
