It’s very tender and hurts. I generally crack my neck on my own but I can’t do that anymore because of the pain. It’s the left dside of my neck and down to my shoulderb lades front and back. It hurts… I didn’t lift anything or strain it that I’m aware of. I just woke up with it,

I thought I had slept wrong, but the pain has been going on more than 10 days. I can only sleep on my right side without to much pain. Much pain when looking down, or moving neck just right.

Hello! I am three weeks late right now. I have been having really bad gas in the mornings, Gross I know… and bad pains associated with it. No discharge, no spotting, nothing. Just as of last night, I have been having slight shoulder pain, which I know is associated with an ectopic pregnancy, but its not exactly at the tip, its more on the top and in between the neck and the end of my shoulder. Ive been bloated, and more emotional recently. I took a pregnancy test last night, but it came back negative. Any Ideas?? Thanks!

I’m having a problem with my left shoulder. Almost once every month, sometimes more, for about 2 weeks, I’ll have pain in my left shoulder. When I move my shoulder sometimes, it sounds like my bones are popping. I try massaging it, but it doesn’t help. Sometimes it gets so bad that it prevents me from completing simple tasks. I’m 21, but it’s been going on for about 4 years and getting more frequent. What do you think that it could be? How should I treat it? Thanks for any help
I’ll choose best answer.

I have been experiencing a very uncomfortable pain on my upper right shoulder blade area for about a year. I’m a 19 years old and I think I’m too young to be having a problem like this. I am not exactly sure how this started but I have 2 possible reasons that may have started this problem. First possible reason I think is that it may have been me over stretching that area (about a year ago). Second possible reason is I remember doing bench presses for the first time (about a year ago) and I started off with too much weight and as soon as I lifted the bar up it immediately came crashing down on my chest and I’m not exactly sure about this but I think there was a cracking sound in my collar bone/shoulder area. My shoulder blade area usually only hurts when I do cardio exercises with lots of running, jumping and moving around, the pain gets so bad that I have to stop in the middle of my exercise. The pain usually doesn’t start until after I’m warmed up. At first it’s just an uncomfortable feeling in my shoulder but it quickly turns into a sharp pain that keeps getting worse until I stop the activity I’m doing. It’s also very uncomfortable when I drive long distance and also standing/walking for long periods of time causes an uncomfortable feeling. I’ve visited a doctor about it before and all he really did was give me a prescription for pain killers(methocarbamol 750mg) and an anti inflammatory(naproxen 500mg)and that didn’t really do anything. About 5 months ago I started a workout video called p90x and stopped about 30 days into it because the pain got too bad and decided to take a break for a while hoping the problem would heal itself over time. I have now started up again on the exercises (P90X) the first day which is mostly pushups and pull-ups I was completely fine and really didn’t have much pain (same as always while doing this exercise). The second day which was a plyometrics workout (same workout in which I had experienced uncomfortable sharp pain in my shoulder 4 months ago) involved a lot more moving and jumping around and I was hoping that I wouldn’t experience any more sharp pains since taking the long break from working out but I was wrong. Same as before I experienced the same exact pain which starts off as an uncomfortable feeling in my shoulder blade area at about 20 minutes into the exercise then turns into a sharp pain which gets worse the more I keep doing the workout. One of the exercises in the plyometrics workout that I remember causing the most pain is when I had to jump on 1 foot repeatedly for about a minute. I’ve also noticed that carrying heavy objects causes a sharp pain, the pain isn’t immediate it just slowly builds up the longer I hold the object. Another thing that I’ve noticed that triggers the pain is a machine at the gym which you sit on then reach forward and grab a bar then you then have to pull to your chest and repeat, this exercise immediately causes a sharp pain. Do any of you know what the problem can be? thank you for your time

For a few years, i had a right shoulder/back pain that comes infrequently. I went to the doctor a few times, but they don’t really know whats wrong. They told me that they want me to come in while it hurts but the pain doesn’t last very long. It feels like i slept wrong and it usually comes while I’m writing or typing something for a while.
Recently, every time i have a pain in my upper right back, my right arm (around the forearm) will also hurt very slightly. my boyfriend tried to massage my back and he tells me he feels a small lump… what could be the problem?
