Any ideas about intermittent pain in my left shoulder?

I have a pain in my left shoulder, it feels like a 2-3 second electrical shock. It doesn’t go down my arm at all. It is completely random, doesn’t matter if I am working hard or sitting on the couch. I am having an MRI arthrogram in a week. I was just wondering if anybody had anything like this happen to them. Like I said the pain is COMPLETELY random, I don’t know when it is coming and it doesn’t hurt when it is over. Thanks for any help.

you have tension locked in it…now, I am guessing that you work out…..but either way, do not have surgery! I know these things….now sit on the couch, and raise this arm up, and use the other hand to grab the elbow…now, drop and relax the arm that has the pain, your arm is probably stiff and more limited than the other, but if you let it stretch each spot you move it to …and let it drop, you will feel the tension release….im me if you need ,,,i can talk you thru..laney(pain relief specialist….
honestly, it could be your gallbladder.
any other symptoms? does it happen after you eat?
when I sleep on my arm alot I get those pains throughout the day, I try and sleep on my back and I don’t get them as much. Because I have slept on my arm it does something to the nerve and it seems like it is just working it self out. Also when I go in my friends hot tub it seems to work wonders.
