I’m 26 weeks and one day pregnant. For the last 10 days or so I have been experiencing constant pain under my left shoulder blade in my back when driving and sitting down. It’s gotten to the point of driving with my other hand because using my left one is too painful for my back. What’s going on??? help please and thank you.

A chemical called ‘relaxin ‘ is made during prenancy along with lots of progesterone, both cause muscles to soften and stretch more easily – perfect for labour – not so good if you over stretch without knowing it.
Chances are you have just streched your shoulder / back / even your diaphram will cause pain under your shoulder.
Even just carrying a growing baby in your uterus / stomach muscle area can cause other muscles to strain trying to compensate for your failing stomach muscles !
Often it is impossible to even say what movement you were doing that over did it.
Try rubbing on some muscle ache cream ( Deep Heat or similar, or a natural peppermint & arnica cream).
If it doesn;t ease up in a day or so, see your Dr they can point you in the direction of a physiotherapist to help your shoulder.
go to a doctor sorry for the blunt answer but thats the only thing to do im sure it has nothin to do with the baby but better safe than sorry
I had the EXACT same thing happen to me. It is just from the position of the baby. It was so uncomfortable to drive. It is just a normal pain of pregnancy. I am assuming you are either a petite woman or you are not carrying your baby lower, but higher?
