For years I’ve had shoulder pain. I believe it’s just stress because it’s in both shoulders and moves around up there. Anyways, heat rarely helps, it just makes my skin really itchy. Icy-Hot doesn’t work, heat patches don’t either. I’ve had muscle relaxers but they just make me sleepy.
Any other ideas? Anyone with the same problem?

I’m 5 weeks pregnant, I slept really weird a few nights before and I woke up with really bad neck pain. Now it’s still hurting and my shoulder blade is hurting a little bit. I’m calling my DR in the morning I’m just really worried it could be an ectopic pregnancy. I’m not bleeding or spotting just mild cramps by my right ovary. I’m just really nervous and it’s on my left side. I know these questions are every where I just get paranoid.

Hello,
I have been having a strange back pain for a few months – close to a year now. Also, I am only 18 years old and in pretty good health. I’ve been to the doctor, had tests ran, x-rays. They don’t know whats wrong. This pain is in both shoulder blades(not the shoulder itself.) and back. They feel like knots almost. The "knots" start at the top of the shoulder blade and then go down to lower back. They aren’t like normal knots you get in your back though, they are thin and aren’t round shaped.. they just go straight down along the shoulder blade. It is a severe, deep pain. When I move my neck or even twist my head a certain way, the pain is worst. My doctors have prescribed me many muscle relaxers thinking that this was a muscle spasm but to no avail, no muscle relaxers worked for me.. even the strongest ones. I can’t recall any injury or event that would contribute to this pain, it kinda came out of no where and hasn’t lessened at all. The pain is constant and sometimes worse on one side than the other. The "knots/bumps" are visible and can be felt but no one knows what this is. It leaves me to believe it isn’t a muscle spasm consider no muscle relaxers have helped, at all. Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Please help, because I am at a dead end as well as my doctors!
Anyone have something to say other than spam? Anyone ever experienced this before? Its really painful.

This has been going on for over a year now. Find it odd, that I am out taking a run, and I get a sharp pain in the same shoulder everytime. Any ideas??

Hi All,
The other day I was playing softball and stupidly tripped and fell while running and throwing the ball. I landed on my left shoulder/neck/left side of my head. At the time I had the wind knocked out of me, and for the rest of the night felt a pain in my shoulder. The pain feels like it is in my left collar bone. I do not think it is broken, as I can still move my arm.
When sitting I feel a slight pain. It is painful to lift my arm over my head, pull my arm towards my body and bring my arm up in a throwing motion, hanging my arm down.. Also, sitting in various positions hurt.
I have been taking advil and trying to keep any strain off my shoulder. Does anyone have any suggestions as to treatment?
Thanks

I turn 23 in a couple weeks and I have had chronic neck/shoulder pain everyday since I was 16. I have dealt with lots of death and stress since I was 12 so could stress really make me hurt this much?
Or could this be a medical condition like juvenile arthritis? My right shoulder is constantly swollen and larger than my left.
I am considering a deep tissue massage. I am also very small and do not have alot of muscle tone. Does anyone know what this could be? What could help? Thank you!

For the past few days the top of my shoulder where the collar bone meets the humerus has been hurting along with the area in front of my shoulder.
Also I have a history of my shoulder making a popping/clicking sound when I raise my arm above my head. I went to an orthopedist and they said nothing was wrong. But I believe that something is wrong because the shoulder pain keeps happening over and over again. In the same location each time also.
Does anyone know what could be causing the pain?

Pain seems to be dull and aching. More curious what I can do to make it go away.
I’m 24. The pain intensifies when i take a deep breath…

I am having sharp pains just below my right shoulder blade lately. Like stabbing sharp pains. Sometimes it feels like there is a knot there. I’ve had my boyfriend try rubbing it but it doesn’t go away. Hmmm additional details… I spend a lot of my nights at work washing dishes leaned over a sink all night but i try to stand up straight to stop back pain… umm i just got a new mattress, hmmm oh and i have a very slight curve in my spine but that has never been where it hurts. I have some Lodine that was prescribed to me recently when i fell down the stairs and hurt my hip. should i just take that? its an anti-inflamitory. maybe i hurt my back and didn’t realize it until now??
