I have severe pain in my shoulder which was not caused by an injury. its very bad at night .its only bearable with ibuprofen every 4 hours.I want to know what treatment works.I want to avoid going to a doctor I am in the middle east on holiday for 5 weeks.Thank you..
i had it about 2 weeks ago ,i think from carrying heavy loads on left side .(it got better after a week and has started again since i picked up some very heavy shopping day before yesterday.)Its worse than it was before. I cannot raise my arm and the is very bad ..

My mom is having sharp pains in her right arm and shoulder blade.She sleeps on a water bed so im wondering if it has anything to do with the way she is sleeping. She thinks its heart attacks could this be?And what are the possiblilities?

Whenever I sneeze or cough I get a really sharp pain under my shoulder blade. Is this something bad.

My right shoulder and arm are hurting me. I find it difficult to move it as well as my neck and the right side of my chest.. It’s because of a game I rode two days ago where I had to pull on a metal bar using my right hand to stop myself from flying away! Also I think my right hand is now longer than the left one! Is that possible? =S

Is it serious and what can I do to ease the pain?

I have had a pain deep in my right shoulder for a couple days now. It is not a sharp pain, buy it throbs. Like I said it’s deep in my shoulder, almost to my chest, and the pain covers an area, not a single point.

Yesterday i woke up with EXTREME shoulder pain on the left side of my body. It aches at all times, no matter what i am doing.
So i called Telehealth Canada today (which is, if you are in the States, a toll free number you can call to find out if you should go to the hospital or not) and told them what was going on. At first they were asking me if i had ever had a heart attack, which i havent. After i told them i was 18 weeks pregnant they started to ask me tons of questions about my pregnancy, like if it was an eptopic pregnancy or if i was at risk for a miscarriage (all of which i am not) but still kinda freaked me out.
So i guess this all leads to my question. Has anyone ever had extreme shoulder pain while pregnant? Have you ever heard of shoulder pain being a symptom of something wrong with the pregnancy?

the pain started in neck in april 2009. But it keep on spreading to my whole body in the coming months to shoulder, wrists, knees, joints. every muscle of my body is paining and some bones of hands and legs. i’ve consulted doc. of homeopathy, allopathy, ayurveda,psyotherapy, orthopedic, but got nothing except dissappointment.

My mum who is 70 has been suffering with acute pain now for the last 7 weeks. One G.P. told her she had a trapped nerve in the neck but now another one has said she is suffering with osteo arthritis in her neck and it is crumbling. A lot of her pain comes from her shoulder but most of it runs down her left arm. Can anyone shed any light on who is right and what can she take for the pain? She is at her wits end and hardly getting any rest or sleep because of the pain.

i took a blow to my neck and my arm went numb for a few seconds and my neck was really sore and stiff its the fourth day i can feel pain underneath my shoulder blade every time i turn my head or breathe
