I am scheduled for a cervical epidural on Oct 2 and am a little scared. I have a chiari malformation in which I had surgery for in 2001. I have nerve damage from the chiari. A lot of pain in the neck and shoulders. I also have a syrinx (spelling?) at C5, not sure how big it is…
Has the cervical epidural injections helped anyone?

I’ve had severe back pain for years and it’s mostly slightly to the left of my right shoulder blade. I’ve been to physical therapy but it’s been mostly ineffective. Any suggestions for the cause of my back pain would be helpful.

I have almost intolerable pain in my right shoulder, arm and 3 fingers of my hand. It has been seriously affecting my sleep and daytime movements.

I’ve been getting ready for softball tryouts and I’ve been doing some throwing around and I also tried a little pitching. My shoulder is about to fall off from the pain of practicing yesterday, my tryouts are tomorrow and I know if I go to the tryouts like this, I won’t make it because I won’t be able to throw straight. Is there a way to make the pain go away by tomorrow morning?

i am an college student, therefore use to suffering from stress, but lately when i am stressed out about a test or presentation i will get a pang that is located in the far right of my chest and extends to from just above my right breast to the junction where my shoulder meets my arm. the pain is usually brief and is not to unmanageable but i was wondering if I should be worried that it might be linked to something other then nerves. I have no other medical condition as i know of. has anyone else had this problem?

I’m 14 and I always have a shoulder and neck pain. It never seems to go away and they are also very stiff! Is that normal for my age? What can I do to make it better?

Hey, I’ve had real bad pain in my shoulder for a good 4 days now, I don’t know exactly how I damaged it, but its fairly painful at the moment, I’ve tried using pain relief patches and deep heat, along with pain killers, but nothing is really working.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I already went to the doctor but the x-rays were negative. I feel more of the pain in the rear deltoid but i feel an all aroundsoreness in the shoulder. When i extend my arm or swing it to my left it hurts. What should i do to get better? Thanks.

apparently Ive got rotator cuff syndrome. My doctor said a steroid injection into the shoulder would help, I have heard that the effects only last for a short while and when the symptoms return they are a lot worse and to have the injections over and over again would cause damage to the ligaments and soft tissue, is this true.

i have had this pain that in the beginning felt as if i slept on it the wring way but has developed into a nagging pain. i can only feel the pain in my neck if i turn to my left but the pain will shoot down my right arm. sleeping is no fun either. i have been to the dr but he said it could be a nerve issue like sciatica for pregnant women. this has been going on painfully for about 3 weeks. any ideas?
