For quite a few years now, unexpectantly i get a severe pain in my left shoulder. The pain is that bad my whole body tightens. It only lasts for seconds then the pain goes away completely. I have never been in any accidents or broken any bones. My doctor seems useless. Anyone know what this could be?
Yes there is a history of heart disease in my family. My mum and grandad have had heart attacks and their blood pressure would be high occasionally

I have a pain just under my right shoulder blade, it hurts really badly and I really want to know a way to fix it or sooth the pain more. Any ideas will be gratefully accepted.

This just started yesterday. I have a pain in my right shoulder/arm. Its weird cause its not really a sharp pain but a widespread pain throughout my whole arm. When I have it down by my side, it is bearable, but still noticeable. Laying down is a different story. I woke up numerous times and was in pain bad. Almost to the point I was thinking of going to the hospital. It is only on the right side. I am kind of thinking I have a pinched nerve. Does this sound like it or is there more reason for concern?

I’m 16 and got these weird pains and everything in my shoulder yesterday. and when I got to bed I could hear my heart and it felt like air or something that was in my chest, along with weird heatbeats. Is this something I should be worried about?

i had it about 2 weeks ago ,i think from carrying heavy loads on left side .(it got better after a week and has started again since i picked up some very heavy shopping day before yesterday.)Its worse than it was before. I cannot raise my arm and the is very bad ..

Frequent computer use sometimes cause me a lot of pain in my right hand, right shoulder/neck, or both, especially when I have to use the touchpad on my laptop as opposed to a real mouse. I know I need to be concerned about preventative measures, but when I do have pain is it better to apply hot or cold treatment? I’m actually typing with my left hand now as I rest my right on an ice pack, but I’d think a cold pack would be quite uncomfortable on my shoulder.
Any suggestions?

I do push-ups every other day, but not as much to wear myself out. I don’t smoke, and for the past 3 days I have been practically at home relaxing to try to make these symptoms going away. Last night had been the worst because both my shoulders hurt so badly I couldn’t sleep. and I have not injured myself at all.
