I am pretty sure I have heartburn because I often feel the burning sensation in my throat area, but is this sharp pain underneath my right should blade related to heartburn as well? I didnt have this before I was pregnant and I am wondering if the heartburn and shoulder/back pain are related. It’s very painful and I am trying to figure out what the heck it is.

I’ve been having trouble with my shoulders. It started in right shoulder. I went to Dr. He gave naproxen, pt, Mri, and oral steriods. None helped. Left shoulder started hurting as well, went to ortho. He said Mri was fine except for some fluid. He gave me 2 cortisone shots. Nothing. No relief. Then shoulder blade on right side, both collarbones, and neck hurt as well now. The pain is absolutely unbearable. I can’t sleep. I can bearly work. My job is very physical alot of lifting, and bending. Shoulder feels stuck alot and pops alot. Also, killing me to drive. Going to new ortho in the morning. If anyone has any idea please let me know. I sure would appreciate it. I can only remember a couple of times that I’ve been in more pain. I’ve tried ice and rest. No help.

I’m an otherwise healthy teenager, but I’ve had these sharp pains in my shoulder, neck, and jaw over several months, and these last few days, my chest hurts too and now I’m not even sure where it originates. Before, it came on and off; now, I feel it from the time I wake up to the time I go to sleep (and every time in between!) I googled for what it could possibly be and it brings stuff up about the heart and I’m really worried, despite most of the things about the heart weren’t aimed at people my age. The doctor can’t get me in today, and I don’t know what to do. Aspirin makes the pain dull, and ice packs make it feel better than when heat is applied. I don’t think it’s my jaw/teeth – I just went to the dentist and everything was A-OK. I suppose I feel the more concentrated pain in my shoulder.

What causes this kind of pain? Has anyone else felt this before?

My back hurts around the shoulders/neck region, I think from sitting wrong.
Also the back of my head aches.

I have a rotator cuff injury – not drastic, but it’s keeping me from training martial arts as strenuously as I would like. Chiroractic treatment has helped a lot, but still there is some popping in my shoulder joint, and I am considering checking into prolotherapy. Anyone have positive or negative results from prolotherapy – especially for shoulder pain? Thanks for any information.

I have had shoulder pain on and off for the last year now. Began under my shoulder blade. Went to 8 physio sessions, were they said did alot of movement tests, but i was able to do them all without pain! I seem to get a sharp pain when i move my arm certain ways, but i cant pinpoint a particular movement that is causing it. The last few days, the pain has increased, and i now feel it down my arm, and around my armpit area, and into my hand. Any ideas? The physio discharged me, as he couldnt find anything acutally wrong, and any treatment was having little effect. The pain is slowly becoming unbearable…and inconvenient when i have my 1year old to look after!

Ok, I asked a question about the shoulder pain and everyone says its a torn rotator cuff. I looked it up online and ya sounds like it. Here is the problem: my family doctor won’t talk to me about it at all because its workmans comp. I am going to a nerosurgeon that wont see me until all of my workmans comp stuff goes through. So he sent me to a chropractor until until it does. The chropractor has been doing "treatment" to my arms neck and shoulder, including cracking my neck and shoulder. I told him it’s getting worse, and how it hurts so bad its making me sick to my stomach. He doesnt want me to go to emergency for the pain, because he said the neurosurgeon will want to look at it ,and anything they do there wont be covered by workmans comp. He keeps telling me it’ll be two weeks until I can make an appointment to see him. In the mean time I am in terrible pain, I got some vicodin from my mom, which I am almost out of, I have to take 1 1/2 every 6 to 8 hours to make it stop hurting.
So now I am almost out of vicodan, there is no way I can go without it, before I take any I wait as long as I possibly can, until I’m in tears. So what should I do? I called the nurosurgeon and told them, they wont prescribe anything until they see it, and like I said the family doctor wont even see me for that. Any advice? I was thinking of going to urgent care center and explaining it to them, do you think they prescribe something? I mean they dont know me, but I can’t live like this. Any advice?
I dont know how the chropractor has the workmans comp info. and he doesnt share. Last time I fillled they gave me a medical card, this time nothing.
I cannot take nsaids, because i have tendonitis in my elbow for almost 4 years. with the orthopedic doctor i have seen for it has given me cortizone shots and nsaids. now i have gastritis from the nsaids.
