This is driving me crazy almost every year I get these same symptoms, and the doc. has not made a correct diagnosis yet. Anyone know someone with similar symptoms? This is how it starts as I see it now, Sinus type infection, arm pain around the muscle area, feels like the circulation is being cut off. Pain in base of skull on right side, and shoulder pain. Then the rash starts on the right arm around the arm pit, always starts there. Then the left side arm pit, then the lower thighs. Any ideas what this is?
I know its not Lupus.

All of a sudden a terrible pain in my neck that wraps around to my shoulder and is extremely painful hit me out of nowhere… Is it a pinched nerve or what and how long before it gets better? I did absolutely nothing to cause it i have been inactive for a while.

For months now I have been having a pain in my right shoulder area, right above the shoulder blade. It is a dull constant pain. I’ve tried icing it, applying heat but nothing provides lasting relief.
I never "injured" it, so I believe it is either stress related, or has something to do with the way I sit at my desk and type while working.
Short of going to a doctor, is there anything I can do to get some relief from this chronic pain?

I have taken several different meds, PT, hydrotherapy (cold and heat), chiropractic services, massage, yoga and other such stretch exercises. Several x-rays were normal, MRI showed some bulging disc in the lower back but nothing else out of the ordinary. I still have chronic pain along the left scapula and for the past few months I now have pain of the left shoulder and up the left side of the neck. I need pain relief, any suggestions?

my boyfriend is stubborn — really stubborn — about going to the doctor.. mostly it’s a money issue, but sometimes he should really go and he doesn’t..
now is one of those times..
he has NO idea how he got this pain, but it’s worst at the shoulder — from what he’s told me, it’s in the joint more than anywhere else –, it goes in a line down his arm, and goes out to his pinky finger..
he says that he can feel the pain "radiating" out to his other fingers.. maybe he’s referring to a pulsating feeling?
it’s gotten to the point where the effected shoulder sits higher [like he's tensing his muscles] on his body.. i looked at a couple of the suggestions [from when i posted the question], and they said that "frozen shoulder" may be the case.. the only problem with that is the person said that it typically effects people over forty, and my boyfriend is 20 years old..
i had a friend who showed me how to give a proper massage, but since it’s in a joint, it didn’t work too well..
is there anything that i can try to do, or he can try to do, that would make the pain lessen or stop? or does he have to suck it up and save some money to go to the doctor?
[[i also have leftover diclofenac from when i had some inflammatory problems, but he refuses to take them.. could they help?]]

Have a dull almost piercing (but mild) pain in the middle of my shoulder, it feels like it runs from about the center of my shoulder towards my chest, but not all the way to my chest, just in that general direction.
Doesn’t matter what direction I move my arm, I cannot make the pain happen, it only happens when I breath in through my nose, take a deep breath with my mouth, and sometimes while talking, it almost seems as though when I use my lungs that’s when I feel the pain in my shoulder.
It’s not heart attack/stroke, already had an ekg, bloodwork, all that good stuff done and told my heart is ok.
It’s just getting on my nerves now, no pun intended. Has lasted about 2 weeks, taking 2 advil will stop the pain, but I don’t want to keep taking advil all the time.
Any thoughts are appreciated.
After doing more research I see that an MRI can help diagnose also, can a normal doctor do an MRI or is that a hospital only procedure? Thanks

I have had back pain right around my left shoulder blade and it radiates to my underarm. It feels like muscle but I am just not sure. I went to my doctor, she told me it was a bunch of knotted muscles and told me to see a chiropractor. I also got a good massage, neither helped. I am not sure what else I can do. I was also prescribed valium as a muscle relaxer but that has not helped much either.
