every minute or so, a shooting pain occurs in my arm and shoulder. it is very painful and annoying. does anyone have any ideas?
I woke up a week ago and stretched my arms, my right shoulder gave out a single terrible CRACK. After this whenever i try to lift my right arm up there is a throbbing pain, but as the days go by the pain lessens and lessens, but not by much. Should i ride it out? or go for medical help?
for 2 0r 3 weeks my 3 1/2 year old has been telling me he is poorly saying his tummy chest and left shoulder hurts, he has made up being poorly in the past but he has being going on about this pain for much longer than usual, does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
Help! I’ve had a pain under my left shoulder blade for a few months and its getting worse, and also a pain in my chest. I just realised they are in the same spot. What can I do? I’ve read something about tranferred pain.
What is the number of patients in the UK presenting to GP’s with shoulder pain and how many of them are diagnosed as partial thickness tears of the rotator cuff? Broken down into age groups would also be helpful.
Way back in Nov. I ended up in the ER from pain in my back and shoulder. I couldn’t even lift my arm. It had started weeks before, but had progressed to the point that I oculdn’t move. There is a section of skin over my spine that I cannot feel. THe pain often goes down my arm into my wrist. THe back and neck pain is severe, and the shoulder pain is unbearable. Our ER is terrible, and they didn’t XRay, or even examine me in any way they just gave me muscle relaxers and told me to call my Dr. Well, I then went to an Orthopedic Dr. He did XRays & said I had a problem in my neck & shoulder, & should go to Physical Therapy & have an MRI–didn’t say what the problem was. I went to him several times since the MRI & I have had a Cortisone shot in my shoulder, & I was going to the PT twice a week for several months. I’ve had time off work to rest, so I don’t think it is a pulled muscle plus it has affected so many parts of my body. Any ideas of what it could be or what I should do next?
Everything seemed to subside about 6 months ago. Now all of a sudden I have a bad burning pain from my neck to my shoulder and going straight down my right side of my back (from shoulder to mid back). I am wondering if this could be from the accident or from my office job ? Could the pain suddenly come back from an accident 10 months ago,…. seems strange, but very painful. Not relieved by tylenol or ibuprofen.
I think its a muscle, but I have had constant upper right shoulder blade pain for ever. Any ideas what it could be? The pain is dull, sharp, and sometimes it radiates to my left side. Does it have anything to do with the lungs? OTC does not work, nothing really helps. If I stretch out my back, that seems to feel good, but how long can I keep standing or sitting so erect, I look like a fool.
Its been almost 4 months since I have had this pain, which I got after falling in a pot hole, and had to use my own strenght to pull myself out. Ouch, it hurts.
Would also like to know what profession doctor I should visit for this treatment.
I have a pain in my left shoulder, it feels like a 2-3 second electrical shock. It doesn’t go down my arm at all. It is completely random, doesn’t matter if I am working hard or sitting on the couch. I am having an MRI arthrogram in a week. I was just wondering if anybody had anything like this happen to them. Like I said the pain is COMPLETELY random, I don’t know when it is coming and it doesn’t hurt when it is over. Thanks for any help.
