I get this every so often. Its a nagging ache in my upper back between my shoulder blades. It doesn’t feel like a pulled muscle. I went to a dr. for this almost a year ago. I was scared I was having a heart attack, but they did an ekg, and it wasn’t that at all. Any ideas or suggestions would be helpful. Thanks.

I’m a tosser and have trouble sleeping.. when I take Advil PM (or tylenol PM.. barely different) I find that I sleep really well! But I have sore shoulder the day after and I’m guessing it is because I don’t toss and change positions as I would without the medication.

Anyone else experience this?

(I’m just getting a general reaction in the area of pain/discomfort in the morning, not looking for sleep aid advice)

My dad has had a bad shoulder since Wednesday, he went to the doctor on Thursday and he told him he had a trapped nerve and prescribed him Tramadol, but this has many side effects and doesn’t really numb the pain for him.
He is in a lot of agony so i wondered if anyone has experienced this and/or has any advice on pain relief and if you know what sort of time it could take to subside. I will pass on any answers

I woke up this morning in EXTREME PAIN. My left shoulder is killing me. It’s where the shoulder blade is and sometimes shoots into my neck. No I am not having chest pains or breathing problems. I talked to a friend and he said that it was more than likely a pinched nerve.

I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE!!!! NO MONEY!!!!!!

I have searched the internet and all the symptoms point towards pinched nerve. I woke up this morning, and got in the shower and let the massage head of my shower head pound on my back for a good 30 minutes. This did not help with the pain at all. It’s finally stopped hurting for a few minutes, but the dull ache is still there.

I am having really bad shoulder pain..the pain is in my shoulder and then is also kinda in my upper back where my neck is.

what can I do about it?
should I see a doctor?
what would the doctor do?

I have been experiencing back, shoulder, and neck pain for quite a long time now. Is there anything I can do to help with this? I’m only 20, and it’s starting to cut into what was already very little sleep. I know some of it is from stress, and some of it is from having a rather large chest (I’m a 40DD), but it seems like no matter what I do nothing really seems to help.

Does anyone know what causes my pain? I have a huge knot that has traveled up my shoulder blade to the top of my shoulder. The only thing that releaves the pain is having someone put tons of pressure on the knot. I just want to know what has causes this!!!

I injured wresteling with my son and I have not received any treatment yet, but still have pain and now have trouble sleeping (because of the pain), regardless of sleeping on the injured (left shoulder), or uninjured side. I also experince pain through normal range of motion and have localized pain to the touch on the front of the clavical.
